Endless Pastabilities #12 - Inspired by Earth Day

Contents: Citrus Sunrise Orange, Forest Fantasy Green, and Marine Dream Blue

Clockwise from the top: Citrus Sunrise Orange, Nebula, Forest Fantasy Green, Marine Dream Blue (each icosahedron represents color changes over 100g of filament)

Made in the same style as our wildly popular Nebula Multicolor Filament, these colors will pull you from the stars and bring you back to Earth. Inspired by Earth Day, each color is a celebration of nature's beauty. And just as in nature, you'll find each coil holds an array of color, shifting between light and dark hues with just a touch of sparkle.

Citrus Sunrise Orange - With the days getting longer, we've been missing out on sunrises... alright, that's a lie. We're allergic to mornings! But Citrus Sunrise wakes us up with it's wide variety of oranges from the most yellow and to the most red.

Forest Fantasy Green - Much like the swirling landscapes when viewing Earth from space, Forest Fantasy Green captures all the gorgeous greens of our planet from the most yellow to the most blue.

Marine Dream Blue - This light blue subtly swings from foamy white to aqua much like the Caribbean Sea. As we long for sunshine and beaches, Marine Dream Blue will take us through the homestretch to summer!

One of our favorite features of these new colors is the spectrum of color. Within each spool, you'll find beautiful variation in hues and saturation. This variety will make for some magnificent final prints, and we're so excited to see what you come up with!

We find these general parameters to work well for our prints, but don't hesitate to reach out to support@protoplant.com if you need any further guidance.

Interestingly enough, I found a similar result with the above parameters on all 3 machines at 205 C - 235 C. The Prusa Mini is upgraded to a Bondtech heatbreak to move the PTFE junction farther away from the hotend to reduce hang-ups. The Prusa MK3 has the stock Prusa heatbreak with lip, but swapping to a standard e3dv6 heatbreak or e3d lite6 hotend can bring more trouble-free results. The Creality Ender 3 requires no modifications.

All can benefit from a calibrated first layer that is not too close to the build platform. Leaving enough room for material to come out without restriction, yet still close enough to stick, is key for more trouble-free printing.
